Great service great food especially the fish n chip and the farmers sausage at breakfast

water taste like chlorine and one of the male workers kept staring at me Angrily for about 5 minutes, made me very uncomfortable.

Sorry DNL's but sadly my takeout order did not come out to what I was expecting. I ordered a appetizer tray that consisted of a few items from their apps menu. The apps sounded amazing but everything came out mushy and tasted old/microwaved. The potato skins came with a half cooked bacon piece ontop, the mozeralla sticks were hard in the middle, the cheese balls had a bad aftertaste/cold in the middle, and the mixture of fries/wedges/onion rings were not appetizing. The chicken fingers were great! But I didn't end up finishing everything. I'm giving it a 2/5 as others have told me to try other items on the menu as they are better, the staff were also very friendly. I'll have to give this another chance one day.

Great breakfast in a pleasant diner atmosphere. My only negative (and the reason it is 3 instead of 4 star) is that they are clearly understaffed. Wait staff is run off their feet and it can take a very long time to get food.

Water tasted weird. If you're going, be prepared to pay for a drink. Food was alright. I had a burger and some onion rings. Service was friendly, but the seating was extremely uncomfortable. Don't expect to be visiting for a long time in comfort if you go!

Small simple restaurant offering generous portions at reasonable prices. Wait staff were welcoming and attentive . Nothing fancy, just the basics. One of the few locations open off-season.

Nice, quiet well kept family run business, decent food, efficient and friendly staff

Absolutely incredible!! The food was amazing, and the prices were hard to believe. I haven't seen prices that low in 20 years. The lettuce was crisp, the tomatoes were thick-cut and fresh, and the bacon was meaty and delicious. The fries tasted like french fries should, and my server was very attentive.

Was a little wary of this place when we walked in for late lunch/early dinner, but was pleasantly surprised with the food quality. Homemade burgers and fries made in house. Good stuff! Highly recommend <3

Good menu, tasty food. One of the places, where you can try really tender and well prepared liver. In my opinion gravy has pretty intense taste of liver. And there's no need in additional sause - liver is tender enough for an absolute satisfaction. I would suggest to add onion, fried in sunflower oil and butter until lightly crispy. It will add sweetness and additional flavour to liver. And that's more then enough for this dish.

Excellent breakfast, service was fantastic

Was hoping for a nice Mothers day dinner as well as support local business. Very disappointed. Ordered 2 rroast beef dinners. The chips were burnt the roast was stringy and the gravy was disgusting. Barely edible.

Enjoyed the daily special a hamburger and fresh cut fries. The burger wasn't greasy and cooked proper. Will return in the future.

Had the fish and chips. Fish had a great crispy battered crust and cooked perfectly but I don't think even a pinch of salt was used in the entire dish. Fries were undercooked and soggy. Nice art on the walls by what I assume are local artists. Very reasonable prices however

A cozy, quiet, small diner experience. I ordered the fish and chips and recommend it. The portions were large and it came with a coleslaw. Service was quick, accurate, and friendly. There are daily specials displayed in the window before entering so be sure to check those out.

Good place

The ingredients for a basic breakfast are simple enough: eggs, toast, potatoes, and sausage/bacon if that's your thing. But so many places manage to mess that up. But NOT DNL's! Eggs arrive at the table perfectly poached and not sitting in a tepid pool of toast mushing water. Toast is toasted! It's not slightly warm, it's hot with a good crunch!! And the potatoes are so crispy, and perfectly cooked there's no need to mask them with ketchup. The waitress/server: a perfect combination of friendliness and humour on a Sunday morning.

Good food, good price. Service fast and friendly

We eat there 2/3 times each summer. Coffee is good, and food generally is as well. And quantity is never an issue, but on this visit the quality, let them down. My wife's beef sandwich, previously excellent, was hardly edible. The meat cuts should have been given to the dog. Along with the chewy, tasteless patty in my hamburger, our next lunch in Sauble will find us looking for an alternative place to eat.

Food was amazing. The environment is nice. but our server was not very friendly. She was fast and efficient but she didn't give any eye contact was shoving things on our table and was all around rude for lack of a better word Not sure her name tho since they don't wear name tags. But she had black hair in a pony tail. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for that!

Good food, fast service

I was passing through the area and the staff member at my hotel suggested I go here to try the fish and chips which I did.Easy one of the best fish and chips that I've had anywhere in Canada. The chips had a nice crisp on the outside while fluffy on the inside. The fish was perfectly battered and fried to a light golden brown. The oil temperature must've been perfect during frying because none of the food came out greasy.I also had some of the seafood platter and found the scallops and the shrimp to be perfect.This place is a hidden gem. Highly recommended.

Amazing seafood platter: scallops and shrimp were just right(not rubbery at all, but also had substance) and the haddock was excellent as well.Fries were great; crispy and thick and not at all like fast food fries.It seems like a missed opportunity on the sauces though, as they use the “olde style” brand(which is almost always cheap and gross). Despite that, the food didn’t need sauce as it was excellent on it’s own. The prices were fair and the portions were generous.I’d definitely recommend this location to friends.
